Budget Video Editing

I made a major update to the Budget Homepage site this past week. I put a few short videos on the homepage and tried to simplify the consulting and web design pages. I'm trying to figure out what people are more interested in, videos, web design, consulting...etc. Like on the Poetlady web site, people are more interested in the recipes than the poetry or writing. The one thing I decided to remove was the items for sale page. I had a dual cassette player on there for a year and absolutely no one was interest in it. I guess everyone is over on eGay shopping for their used AV equipment. I have a lot of useless stuff that I could try to sell online, but I am still cautious of the online auction sites.

Halloween is coming up this week. To still be celebrating this holiday is kind of bizarre. With all of the stuff you hear in the news, who would take their kids out trick or treating? It just seems like real life is so much scarier these days. My favorite scary movie of all time is The Evil Dead. This was director Sam Raimi's first full length film and it is quite impressive what he was able to accomplish. It was released in 1982 but has been digitally remastered on DVD. Bruce Campbell, the star of the film, has played in several sequels to this horror masterpiece. Many directors have tried to follow Sam Raimi's formula but it is extremely hard to create a legendary film on your first attempt.

Budget Homepage Update

My plan is to update Budget Homepage.com as soon as I am done updating Poetlady.com. The web design service has sparked a few inquires this past year, but not close to the response that I had expected. I don't know who is maintaining all those web sites out there, but it isn't me. I will probably still offer my consulting services, but will most likely turn the URL into a source for money saving tips and investment ideas. I only have a few weeks left before my GF comes back, so I need to try to get as much done now as possible. Once winter sets in and the holidays arrive, I'm sure I will have less time for computer projects.
