Our little friend is back! Soon after my last post we saw a chipmunk come out for the first time in almost six months. She is eating peanuts that we put out, but is still a little shy about coming near us for a handout. I'm sure that will change once late summer comes around again. We have the camera ready so we can get more fun shots like the one shown here.

I hate is when companies advertise something and then you try to take advantage of the offer and you find out there are strings attached. One case of this is with Alltel and their "Circle of Friends" plan. They advertise that you can add ten friends to your list and call them anytime for free. Well, the part they fail to mention is that this is only available on calling plans that are over $59 per month. Such plans start you off with one thousand minutes and go up from there. If I had one thousand minutes I wouldn't need to worry about having a list of numbers that I frequently call. Of course my plan is six hundred minutes and does not include the "Circle" option, too bad for me. So, it isn't a good way to save money on your monthly cellphone bill, unless you talk on the phone for more than 16 hours every month.

Spring is here!

With spring finally here in Wisconsin I thought I would post a picture of Sassy. We haven't seen her since last November just before the cold weather set in. Hopefully the warmer temps will bring her out of hibernation. I don't know a lot about chipmunk behavior, but we are looking forward to seeing these little guys again in our backyard. You can see our chipmunk videos at poetlady.com

Last week was Easter so I was out of town visiting my parents. My youngest brother had his three month old son with him, so I got to see him for the first time. He posted of picture of me holding the baby on his blog and I sure look like I'm getting old. Maybe it was because we were up until midnight playing cards the night before (not something I do very often). Anyway, gas prices are on the rise again, so it looks like another summer of restricted travel. $2.89 per gallon isn't too far from last summer's high. Not sure how we managed to get ourselves so dependent on oil. Americans love their vehicles, it isn't our fault that they all run on gasoline. Give us an affordable alternative NOW!
