New Year Resolutions

Another year has come and gone and it's time to think about what needs to change in 2006. Nobody likes it when things change for the worse. But an old saying sums it up quite well. "If you keep doing what you're doing, you're gonna keep getting what you got". Some dude in the quality department where I used to work would say that when someone didn't what to change the way they were doing something. It applies to everyday life too. I have had to work hard during the last year. Maybe even twice as hard for half the pay, but at least I have a job that I enjoy. My motto has always been "Work smarter, not harder". We'll see if I can apply that one a little more next year. Have a great new year!

I hate winter!

Well, it's really the cold weather that makes me cringe. Today the high temp is only going to be 7 degrees F. Plus, every time the heater turns on, I know it's adding to the already outrageous gas bill. There isn't much we can do about it up here in Northern Wisconsin. The gas company sent a flyer for a brochure on how to save energy this winter. Just lower my bill. Don't try to make us think that it is our fault that our heating bill is so high! Same goes for the oil companies who raise prices a week before a holiday, when they know we will be traveling more. Next week is Christmas. I hope you have all of your holiday shopping done. It takes me a while to get into the spirit, but I usually feel better once I have all of my shopping done. Next month I can get depressed again when I try to balance my checkbook. Please visit the Fresh Flowers link on the right side of this page. You won't be disappointed. Happy Holiday's!

Web design class completed

I have completed the web design project for the class I was taking at the local technical college. You can see the site at www.cmeco.net or look for the link on my Budget Homepage site. My client was happy with the way her web site turned out and I now have another site to show potential customers. As far as the web design class, I learned a few things, but overall the class was difficult to complete. The course was plagued with numerous problems that forced most of the students drop out. I will not be taking any more classes for a while. So now would be a good time to contact me about a design project if you had been waiting for me to finish my web design class. Meanwhile, the poetlady web site is in need of an update, and I need to edit a load of home movies that I shot this year.
