Budget Clients
When I started Budget Homepage about two years ago I have to admit, I thought it would be easier to find business clients who wanted to work with an experienced independent designer like myself. The biggest problem seems to be that there is no urgency to sign a web design contract. Clients can put off the decision for great lengths of time while they focus on other aspects of their business. To compound the situation, it can take months or even years to see any results from a web site investment. This reality can make it difficult to get some clients to commit to a project. All it used to take was for a client to see a competitor successfully using the web to trigger their need to do the same. But now that the Internet is more mature and complex, it seems like it takes more work to get a client interested in a new site or a face lift for an existing web site. How do web designers overcome this situation? By consistently doing good work for a reasonable price and not promising what they can't deliver.
