Stratus Time

My 1999 Dodge Stratus has been sitting in the garage since early December. But the snow is finally starting to melt, so I think it's time to take it out again. Plus it gets a lot better gas mileage than my truck. I can't understand why the Stratus has such a poor reputation. The one I have has a V6, a sun roof, and full power. I haven't had any mechanical problems in the two years since I got it. I wanted something bigger than a Neon and the Stratus was the most reasonably priced used model I could find. It may not have the perceived quality of a Camry or Accord, but as long as it keeps running I'll be happy.

Speaking of perceptions, what is up with the economy? If you watch the nightly news, you would get the impression that everything was in a tail spin. Most of the experts can't even decide if we are in a recession or not. Making everyone afraid to use their money is not going to help. Of course if you just lost your house or job, that's a different story. I wrote an article a while back about how I survived 15 years of layoffs. After recently reading it again, I decided to post it on my web site. I'm not sure if it can help anyone, but with times the way they are, I thought it was an article that needed to be shared.
