The Irises are blooming

It's late spring and the Irises are blooming in my yard. I usually try to snap a few pictures because these colorful, but delicate flowers don't last too long. They spread on their own and seem to like a mix of sun and shade. This variety is the Blue Bearded Iris. Irises come in a rainbow of colors and don't require as much care as other flowering plants.

This week David Carradine passed away (from mysterious causes, I might add) so I thought it appropriate that I have flowers on my blog. The Kung Fu TV series was popular when I was a kid. He was another cultural icon, like Evel Knievel, who died in 2007.

Last, but not least, this week Sony announced that they will be making yet another version of the PSP called the PSP Go. Do we really need another PSP? I can't seem to find enough new good games for the one I've got. This one will be without a UMD slot, so all of the games, music, and videos will need to be downloaded onto the memory card. What they should have come out with is a wireless touch screen device that lets you play games, download user developed apps, and chat with your friends. Oh wait.. that's the Apple Iphone.
