Happy Easter

I was just talking to a friend of mine at work (one who didn't get laid off) and we both agreed that this week felt like a long week. I'm sure part of it was because neither one of us has worked a 40 hour week in quite a while. But, more likely, it was because we were trying to get so much extra work done. It may look good on the bottom line, but those of us who are left are working pretty hard to cover all the bases. Other than that, not too much has changed this week. A job opportunity I was looking at suddenly disappeared from the job boards. Working and looking for another job is extra hard, especially when there are so many unemployed workers out there to compete with. They have the luxury of jumping on new opportunities because they have the time to do the research. I see today that one of my brothers is selling his house and is planning to build his own home on an empty lot. Now that sounds like a challenge. At least he is doing his part to get this economy going.
