Little Pond Flood

This is what 5 inches of rain can do to the little retention pond behind my house. The water receded by the afternoon, but it was kind of scary watching the water fill the pond and overflow onto the street. Luckily, the pond did it's job and none of the water got into the basement. It feels like summer is starting to turn the corner already and the days will be getting shorter soon. Working all the time makes it hard to get motivated to do anything. And when you do have time off, the weekends are consumed by household chores. I find it hard to plan anything more than a week in advance these days.
