Some people love to believe in conspiracy theories. If you find someone who believes in one, there's a good chance they believe in others as well. I think there is a certain mindset that feels that there are higher powers out there trying to manipulate us. Government is the origin of many conspiracies. Just by their nature, people tend to mistrust any agency that makes and enforces rules upon people. Other conspiracy theories tend to draw like minded people together. I watched a documentary the other day called "Behind the Curve". Its about the Flat Earth movement. I find it hard to believe that such a thing exists, but there are apparently thousands of people who think the Earth is flat. It seems like more of a light hearted reason for people who look at things from a different angle than most of us to connect on a common theme. Does Big Foot exist? Are there aliens living among us? Do vaccinations cause Autism? Are jet chemtrails poisoning us on purpose? All are yet to be proven. One common trait of a conspiracy theory is that they force you to be on either one side or the other. Its like believing in an afterlife? Either you believe or you don't worry about it. As with most of these theories, we may never know for sure.
