This weekend I created a new banner for the Budget Homepage web site. I was tired of looking at the green color scheme and changed it to blue. I'm still working on the poetry search code and had it working, but for some reason, today I'm getting an error message from the web server.
I am also trying to figure out how to connect a laptop to an HDTV. It looks a little more complicated that just finding the right connector. For one thing you need to match the display settings on the computer to the HD standard. One posting on a message board said that you could ruin your TV if you didn't have the right settings. That sounds kind of scary.
This week I'm reading Neuromancer by William Gibson. It was written in 1984 and I believe that it is the first cyber-punk novel to mention a computer network called the Matrix. The plot and style of writing is engaging, but I find myself trying hard to grasp some of the technology that Williams presents. For a book written 23 years ago, it still holds up as good science fiction.
